Los San Francisco 49ers anunciaron este jueves que han contratado al long snapperJon Weeks. Tras ese movimiento, el equipo liber al long snapper Taybor Pepper. Weeks es un jugador con mucha experiencia. A sus 39 aos de edad, suma una carrera de 15 aos jugando en la NFL. Toda esa carrera la pas con los Houston Texans, desde el 2010 hasta el 2024. Lleg a Houston sin ser reclutado en el draft despus de que los Texans lo adquirieron de la universidad de Baylor.
Durante sus 15 temporadas en Houston, Weeks apareci en 244 partidos y registr 40 tacleadas en equipos especiales. Incluso en 2015 fue llamado al Pro Bowl y en 2023 fue el nominado de los Texans para el premio 2023 Walter Payton Man of the Year. El ao pasado apareci en 17 partidos con Houston.
Por su parte, Pepper apareci en 80 partidos con los 49ers en un lapso de cinco temporadas (2020-24). Adems, apareci en nueve partidos de postemporada con San Francisco. Le deseamos lo mejor a Pepper el resto de su carrera.
