Los San Francisco 49ers anunciaron que han contratado por un ao al linebackerLuke Gifford. Este jugador de 29 aos de edad viene de jugar los ltimos dos aos con los Tennessee Titans. Originalmente, Gifford entr a la NFL despus del draft del 2019, cuando los Dallas Cowboys lo adquirieron de la universidad de Nebraska como agente libre no reclutado. Logr quedarse con los Cowboys hasta la temporada 2022 antes de irse a jugar en los Titans.

Tiene un total de 49 tacleadas en equipos especiales desde su ao de novato en 2019, colocndolo en noveno lugar en la NFL desde entonces. Incluso PFF le dio una muy buena calificacin el ao pasado de 83.9 en equipos especiales y, de acuerdo con Sportsradar (@Sportsradar en X), en 2024 empat por el mayor nmero de tacleadas individuales jugando en equipos especiales con 10.
